MEET THE DESIGNER
Terina Nicole has spent over 20 years creating bold, wearable art and home decor. She launched Jypsea Leathergoods, a line of luxe leather home goods, handbags & jewelry made primarily of recycled skins, in 2001.
Since 2008, Terina has been intentional about teaching sustainable fashion design to help all who want to learn to create stylish, sustainable, and unique clothes and accessories to wear.
Terina is the author of
2 books and guides and co-founder of DIYMakersCon, a conference for creative women makers.
In 2020 she founded The Fashion Design Center of South Jersey to make design education more easily available to Camden, NJ residents. Currently she teaches fashion design full-time at a high school in Camden and she teaches accessory design as an adjunct professor at an university in Philadelphia.
Her most recent ventures are a boutique called the Sustainable Style Studio, located at 1912 Broadway, Camden NJ, where she offers vintage and handcrafted fashion and home décor designed by local makers and Eco-Fashion Lab where she brings people who want to learn to make their own clothes and accessories to live workshops with accomplished fashion designers.
